There once was a woman who woke up one
morning, looked in the mirror,
and noticed she had only three hairs on her head.
‘Well,’ she said, ‘I think I’ll braid my hair today.’
So she did and she had a wonderful day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror
and saw that she had only two hairs on her head.
‘H-M-M,’ she said, ‘I think I’ll part my hair down the middle today.’

So she did and she had a grand day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed
that she had only one hair on her head.
‘Well,’ she said, ‘today I’m going to wear my hair in a
pony tail.’
So she did, and she had a fun, fun day.

The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror
noticed that there wasn’t a single hair on her
‘YAY!’ she exclaimed. ‘I don’t have to fix my hair

Attitude is everything.

Be kinder than necessary,
for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of
Live simply,
Love generously,
Care deeply,
Speak kindly,
and pray continually.
Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass…

It’s about learning to dance in the rain.

It’s not what you gather, but what you scatter
that tells what kind of life you have lived.

請用心聆聽 ……上主藉著我們周遭的事物,向我們訴說愛語心言…..

When  I woke  up this  morning lying in bed, I was asking myself;
What are some of the secrets of success in life?
I found the answer right there, in my very room.

Carry  a Heart  that Never  Hates.
Carry a Smile  that Never  Fades.

Pork Chops

Wednesday, November 24th, 2010

In a zoo in California , a mother tiger gave birth
to a rare set of triplet tiger cubs.
Due to complications in the pregnancy,
the cubs were born prematurely
and due to their tiny size,
they died shortly after birth.
The mother tiger after recovering from the delivery,
suddenly started to decline in health,
Although physically she was fine.
The veterinarians felt that the loss of her litter
had caused the tigress to fall into a depression.
The doctors decided
that if the tigress could surrogate
another mother’s cubs,
perhaps she would improve.
After checking with many other zoos across the country,
the depressing news was that there were no tiger cubs
of the right age to introduce to the mourning mother..
The veterinarians decided to try something
that had never been tried in a zoo environment.
Sometimes a mother of one species
will take on the care of a different species.
The only orphans’ that could be found quickly,
were a litter of weanling pigs.
The zoo keepers and vets
wrapped the piglets in tiger skin
and placed the babies around the mother tiger…
Would they become cubs or pork chops?
Take a look…you won’t believe your eyes

Now, please tell me one more time …
Why can't the rest of the world get along?
I am sending this to all that love animals………….It is just too cute not to pass along.

I Asked God

Monday, November 22nd, 2010

I asked GOD: Let all my friends be
healthy and happy forever…!

GOD said: But for 4 days only….!
I said: Yes, let them be
a Spring Day, Summer Day,
Autumn Day, and Winter Day.

GOD said: 3 days.
I said: Yes,
Today and Tomorrow.

GOD said: No, 2 days!
I said: Yes,
a Bright Day (Daytime)
and Dark Day (Night-time).

GOD said: No, just 1 day!
I said: Yes!
GOD asked: Which day?

I said: Every Day in the living
years of all my friends!
GOD laughed, and said: All your friends
will be healthy and happy Every Day!

Send this to your friends and bless
them with good health and happiness…

Pass on the warmth despite
the ever-changing weather… !

A Messages From The Holy Father

Wednesday, November 10th, 2010

Messages from the Holy Father are featured on a regular basis. These words of wisdom will include quotes from addresses by the Holy Father along with a link to learn more about the full text and context of the address.

“In the life of each one of us there are very dear persons, to whom we feel particularly close; some are already in God’s arms, others still share with us the journey of life: they are our parents, relatives, educators. They are persons to whom we have done good or from whom we have received good. They are persons we know we can count on. However, it is also important to have “travel companions” on the journey of our Christian life: I am thinking of a spiritual director, a confessor, persons with whom we can share the experience of faith, but I am also thinking of the Virgin Mary and of the saints. Each one should have a saint that is familiar to him, to whom he feels close with prayer and intercession, but also to imitate him or her. Hence, I would like to invite you to know the saints better, beginning with the one whose name you bear, by reading his life, his writings. You can be certain that they will become good guides to love the Lord ever more and valid aids for your human and Christian growth.”

— Wednesday Audience, August 25, 2010.

This installment is from the Holy Father’s Wednesday Audience on August 25, 2010. Benedict XVI offered the following comments about having a special saint for you journey through the Christian life as a way of introduction to his address on St. Augustine. The Holy Father indicated that St. Augustine has been one of his traveling companions as he has had the opportunity to become familiar with this doctor of the Church’s writings through time spent in study and prayer.

Bible Study Humour

Bible Study Humour

The Sunday School teacher was describing how Lot ‘s wife looked back and turned into a pillar of salt, when little Jason interrupted, ‘My Mommy looked back once while she was driving,’ he announced triumphantly, ‘and she turned into a telephone pole!’

A Sunday school teacher was telling her class the story of the Good Samaritan.  She asked the class, ‘If you saw a person lying on the roadside, all wounded and bleeding, what would you do?’  A thoughtful little girl broke the hushed silence, ‘I think I’d throw up.’

A Sunday school teacher asked, ‘Johnny, do you think Noah did a lot of fishing when he was on the  Ark  ? ”No,’ replied Johnny. ‘How could he, with just two worms.’

A Sunday school teacher said to her children, ‘We have been learning how powerful kings and queens were in Bible times. But, there is a Higher Power. Can anybody tell me what it is? One child blurted out, ‘ Aces!’

Nine-year-old Joey was asked by his mother what he had learned in Sunday School. ‘Well, Mom, our teacher told us how God sent Moses behind enemy lines on a rescue mission to lead the Israelites out of  Egypt  .  When he got to the  Red Sea   , he had his army build a pontoon bridge and all the people walked across safely.  Then he radioed headquarters for reinforcements.  They sent bombers to blow up the bridge and all the Israelites were saved.’
‘Now, Joey, is that really what your teacher taught you?’ his Mother asked.
‘Well, no, Mom.  But, if I told it the way the teacher did, you’d never believe it!’

A Sunday School teacher decided to have her young class memorize one of the most quoted passages in the Bible – Psalm 23.   She gave the youngsters a month to learn the chapter.  Little Rick was excited about the task – but he just couldn’t remember the Psalm. After much practice, he could barely get past the first line.
On the day that the kids were scheduled to recite Psalm 23 in front of the congregation, Ricky was so nervous. When it was his turn, he stepped up to the microphone and said proudly, ‘The Lord is my Shepherd, and that’s all I need to know.’

The preacher’s 5 year-old daughter noticed that her father always paused and bowed his head for a moment before starting his sermon.  One day, she asked him why.
‘Well, Honey,’ he began, proud that his daughter was so observant of his messages.  ‘I’m saying a prayer, asking the Lord to help me preach a good sermon.’

‘How come He doesn’t answer it?’ she asked.

During the minister’s prayer one Sunday, there was a loud whistle from one of the back pews.  Tommy’s mother was horrified. She pinched him into silence and, after church, asked, ‘Tommy, whatever made you do such a thing?’
Tommy answered soberly, ‘I asked God to teach me to whistle, and He did!’

When my daughter, Kelli, said her bedtime prayers, she would bless every family member, every friend, and every animal (current and past).   For several weeks, after we had finished the nightly prayer, Kelli would say, ‘And all girls.’  This soon became part of her nightly routine, to include this closing.  My curiosity got the best of me and I asked her, ‘Kelli, why do you always add the part about all girls?’
Her response, ‘Because everybody always finish their prayers by saying ‘All Men’!’

Little Johnny and his family were having Sunday dinner at his Grandmother’s house.  Everyone was seated around the table as the food was being served.  When Little Johnny received his plate, he started eating right away.
‘Johnny!  Please wait until we say our prayer.’  said his mother.
‘I don’t need to,’  the boy replied.
‘Of course, you do.’  his mother insisted.  ‘We always say a prayer before eating at our house.’
‘That’s at our house.’  Johnny explained.  ‘But this is Grandma’s house and she knows how to cook!

Mother Teresa Declared A Saint

Saturday, November 6th, 2010

During Her life time, she had shown untiring efforts in protecting the unwanted and the destitutes.

Mother Teresa declared a Saint!!

301010aMother Teresa was declared a Saint at about 11:00 PM last night in Rome .  If you pray now for 3 petitions, they will be granted in her name.

About Mother Teresa By Mother Teresa

When I pick up a person from the street, hungry, I give him a plate of rice, a piece of bread. But a person who is shut out, who feels unwanted, unloved, terrified, the person who has been thrown out of society — that spiritual poverty is much harder to overcome. Those who are materially poor can be very wonderful people. One evening we went out and we picked up four people from the street. And one of them was in a most terrible condition. I told the Sisters:

You take care of the other three; I will take care of the one who looks worse.” So I did for her all that my love can do. I put her in bed, and there was such a beautiful smile on her face. She took hold of my hand, as she said one word only: “Thank you” — and she died. I could not help but examine my conscience before her. And I asked: “What would I say if I

were in her place?“ And my answer was very simple. I would have tried to draw a little attention to myself. I would have said: “I am hungry, I am dying, I am cold, I am in pain, or something. But she gave me much more — she gave me her grateful love. And she died with a smile on her face. Then there was the man we picked up from the drain, half-eaten by worms and, after we had brought him to the home, he only said, “I have

lived like an animal in the street, but I am going to die as an angel, loved and cared for.” Then, after we had removed all the worms from his body, all he said, with a big smile, was: “Sister, I am going home to God” – and he died. It was so wonderful to see the greatness of that man who could speak like that without blaming anybody, without comparing anything.

Like an angel — this is the greatness of people who are spiritually rich even when they are materially poor….

{ 8小時睡眠/ 8小時工作/ 8小時吃飯、運動、娛樂。}

(Ivy Wang
