He Captures Me
Little Sisters of the poor
My vocationstory is very simple. There is nothingextraordinary whatsoever.I can definemy vocation and religious life in these words: "I came, I saw and Istayed."
It all began when my uncle, a Jesuit Priest, who told me that "There is a Convent of Sisters near our collage who lookafter the old people; if you want come and see for yourself."This was the first time I ever heard of theLittle Sisters of the Poor.So I decidedto see.My father brought me to theLittle Sisters.I stayed with them fortwo weeks and found in the Community what I was looking for, genuine happinessin the gentle smile of the Sisters and the Aged.It was like finding the treasure that I waslooking for.I would have joined themstraight away, but there was no place until the 5 postulants left for thenovitiate, so I have to wait until the following November. The day fixed by the Lord finallyarrived. After a half-day journey by busand a full night in the train, I reached the land of my dream-the Convent ofthe Little Sisters of the Poor.Insaying good-bye to me there were tears in my father's eyes. The separation was hard, but in the residentsI found a hundred fold of Fathers and Mothers of the Gospel, whose love alwayssustains a Little Sister in the time of difficulties and trails. From the first day onwards I was very happy, and this happiness has never left me and still is with me in my heart, afterbeing, a professed Little Sister for 34 years.I can never thank God enough for His Kindness and Mercy shown in theordinary life of a Little Sister.
