History
of the Congregation:
The Sister Disciples of
the Divine Master (PDDM) is a Congregation founded in Alba (Cuneo)
Italy by Fr. James Alberione on February 10, 1924. The PDDM is a
member of a big family called the Pauline Family which consists
of 10 religious congregations and institutes founded by Fr. James
Alberione. The Sister Disciples of the Divine Master are spread
all over the world, they live, serve and witness in 29 countries.
Congregation's
Mission:
Our Contemplative Apostolic
life and mission is outlined in the name PDDM - as disciples we
live a life of closer following of Jesus Christ the Divine Master,
the Way, the Truth and the Life. We center our life and mission
in the Eucharist. This one love towards Jesus Master is expressed
in 3 aspects of our Apostolate that of the Eucharistic, Liturgical
and Priestly.
Eucharistic Apostolate-
everyday we are before the Blessed Sacrament to make our prayer
of praise, thanksgiving, reparation and intercession for the whole
of humanity. We make reparation for the sins committed because of
the abuse of the communications media.
Liturgical Apostolate
- We carry this ministry through various art forms link to the liturgy
such as: church architecture,, interior designs of church sanctuaries,
painting, sculpture, music and all things that uplift and keep alive
the piety of the people of God. We also design, make liturgical
vestments and church furnishings. We give liturgical-sacramental
catechesis or formation to empower the laity to serve the church
through the different ministries, like lectors, commentators, Eucharistic
ministers, altar servers...
Priestly - our priestly
service is centered on the priest who is the other Christ, who continues
the ministry of Jesus in the Church. Like Mary and in the spirit
of Mary we carry out this service and in collaboration during the
formation of those aspiring to the priesthood, in their priestly
ministry, in their sickness and old age, and after their death by
means of suffrage. We are in Houses of Formation, Seminaries, teaching,
spiritual direction, supervision of domestic activities and nursing
assistance. We are also in homes of sick and retired priests.
Requirements
of Acceptance:
Preferably College Graduates.
20 to 28 years of age.
Will join a search in
and vocational journey with the Sisters.

Formation:
Pre-postulancy, Postulancy,
Novitiate, First Profession (Juniorate) Final Profession.
